Considering rise in Covid-19 cases CM Mamata Banerjee declared lockdown extension on Thursday in the state till 15th of June. The ongoing lockdown was expected to be lifted on May 30th but it has been extended for 15 more days.
In West Bengal, 16,225 COVID-19 cases can be seen on wednesday, raising the total tally to 13,18,203. The death toll rose to 14,827 including 153 fatalities on wednesday. Good news is that the number of patients recovering are more than new cases, but since the daily cases are still more than 15k so it can be an effective decision by the government's side.
What are Open and What are Closed ?
All Shopping Malls, complexes, cinema halls, beauty parlours, restaurants, bar, gym, sports complex and educational institution will remain closed.
Online Delivery Services like Amazo, Flipkart and Zomato will remain active in the state. Other rules will be the same as per the ongoing lockdown.
