The West Bengal government today announced that they will be conducting the board exam of class X and XII in late July and second week of August respectively.
West Bengal is one of the few states which have not cancelled the exam unlike other states and central boards - CICSE and CBSE.
The announcement of dates have come shortly after the students’ wing of the CPI(M) had earlier this week urged West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu to ensure that students of Classes 10 and 12 do not lag behind examinees of other boards in the wake of the decision to postpone the secondary and higher secondary exams of the state due to COVID-19 situation.
Important thing of concern here is that in West Bengal still more than 16k cases of COVID-19 is coming everyday. In a situation like this is it necessary to conduct Offline exams. The students ( age group 16-18 ) are not yet vaccinated so the risk of transmission will be very high no matter how good and strict the precautionary measures are.
Please Let us Know in Comments that whether you want the Exam to be conducted Offline or Not ?
